  • The Warren Relay raised the most money per capita throughout Ohio for our population (150,000 - 250,000)
  • The Warren & Cortland Relay experienced a 20% increase from the previous year
  • The Niles Relay was recognized as a new 1st year relay that surpassed their goal

2001   Warren, Cortland & Niles Relays

  • Warren Area - Largest Single Relay site in the state of Ohio
  • Antenucci, Inc. raised the most money by a single team throughout Ohio
  • Niles, Cortland and Warren met or exceeded their goal
  • The Mahoning Valley Area of the American Cancer Society, comprising of Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties raised the most money in the state of Ohio - $1,078,708

In 2001, more than $75,000 was raised by three teams:

  • 1st Place - Antenucci, Inc. $42,380
  • 2nd Place - Brodell Medical $21,400
  • 3rd Place - Trumbull Industries, Inc. $16,700

Nationally, the Trumbull County Relays have ranked near the top in similar population groups. In 2001 there were over 2800 Relays across the United States, raising over $165 million in contributions. Trumbull County ranked 5th in the Nation for our population.

This is the 9th year that Trumbull County has participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. We were pleased to add a fourth Trumbull County Relay in Liberty this year. 263 teams participated in Trumbull County's Relays,  raising more than $770,000. Nationally, over 3,300 Relays raised more than  $240 million in contributions.

This is the 10th year that Trumbull County has participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. We were pleased to add a fifth Trumbull County Relay in Lordstown this year. 294 teams participated in Trumbull County's Relays, raising more than $868,676. Trumbull County' Relay for Life participated in the first ever "Relay night at the Scrappers." Relay teams sold over 756 tickets and raised $2,979 for Relay.

This is the 11th year that Trumbull County has participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. 310 teams participated in Trumbull County's Relays, raising more than $901,000. Trumbull County' Relay for Life participated in the "Relay night at the Scrappers." Relay teams sold over 756 tickets and raised $2,979 for Relay.

 

To date, Trumbull County has raised MORE THAN $3.5 Million for the American Cancer Society - We certainly have reason to be proud!

To date, Trumbull County has raised MORE THAN $4.5 Million for the American Cancer Society - We certainly have reason to be proud!
